FAQs

Will you come to my local art center outside of Florida to teach workshops?
Yes.

How long are your workshops?
It's up to you. Most workshops are from 2 to 4 days. Duration 5-6 hours.

What media do you teach?
Because my emphasis is on creativity, my preference is mixed media.  Collage, acrylics, photographs, watercolor, canvas, and special papers are usually supplied by individuals.   If you want something specific I will be happy to discuss your needs during a phone conversation.

Do you have any limitation on the number of students in your workshops?
If there is sufficient space, I prefer 10 or 12. If space is a problem, I like to discuss limitations prior to a commitment.

What are your fees?
Fees vary depending on class size. Average fees are from $150 to $200 per student for a three or four day workshop.  Expenses are in addition to fees.

How long in advance are you able to schedule workshops?
I usually require 10 to 12 weeks.

Do you prefer working with beginners or advanced artists?
I work well with beginners. My approach is very positive and encouraging in order to foster expansion of their abilities and make painting fun and inspirational.

I also enjoy working with intermediate and more experienced people. Most of my classes have students at several skill levels,  and that works very well because I teach individually.  We do not create identical works.  We end every session with a "sharing" so students may learn from each other.

Do students provide their own supplies?
Yes.  Necessary supplies will be discussed at the first class, or a list provided before the class, depending on the nature of the classes.
